Primary Preventions’ main focus is preventing sexual violence before it occurs. The Prevention Program at La Piñon aims to provide specialized education and outreach that works to change the attitudes and behaviors that promote sexual violence in our communities. Our Prevention Program does this in a way that meets our community’s needs through a health equity approach. Prevention Education addresses the underlying issues that result in rape and sexual violence. In order to do this during our programming we will include some of the following topics:
